Laura Hanson became involved in collegiate EMS as Founding Chief of Operations of the University of Arizona EMS from 2011- 2012. She received a BS in Physiology in 2012, and an MA in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University in 2015. Laura worked as an EMT for Rural/Metro Southwest Ambulance from 2012-2017 and volunteered part-time as a reserve for the Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue helicopter for many years. She completed medical school at Midwestern University in Arizona in 2020 and is currently an emergency medicine resident physician at Magnolia Health in Mississippi.
