Jeffrey J. Bilyk, NCEMSF Canada Regional Coordinator, is the Founder and Former Director of the University of Windsor Emergency Response Team. After starting the Emergency Response Team at UWindsor, Jeff took his previous University education in Criminology stateside earning his EMT-Basic in Michigan, continuing to run the UWindsor squad for nearly 10 years. After leaving, Jeff was granted a Liaison position as well as Life Membership with UWERT.

He has extensive experience in Emergency Services including working as an EMT-B in Michigan, the UWindsor squad, as well as part-time ventures in ambulance and police communication centres (5 years and 1 year respectively). After a short venture with the Canadian Red Cross as a Disaster Management Coordinator for Southwestern Ontario, Jeff moved onto a position as a Police Officer for the University of Windsor Police, where he currently works today.

Jeff also owns his own health & safety/emergency planning business, and has Instructor-Trainer certifications in CPR/First Aid, AED, O2 Administration & Airway Maintenance, as well as Instructor level certifications in a wide variety of EMS related training programs. He continues to be a strong advocate for Campus Based EMS programs.
