John Wenzel, NCEMSF's Alumni Coordinator, is a medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA (Class of 2010). He graduated from Villanova University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Ethics. John began his EMS career as a college freshman in 2001 with Villanova EMS (VEMS). In addition to being an active crew member, John was elected to one term as Secretary and two terms as Captain of VEMS, also holding the only student seat on the University Safety Committee. He holds current American Heart Association BLS and First Aid instructor certifications. Since graduating Villanova, John has been an active EMT with the Radnor Fire Company Ambulance.

John became involved with NCEMSF in 2002, when he attended his first national conference as a freshman with VEMS. He has attended each national conference since then, including hosting the 12th annual conference in 2005 in Philadelphia, a joint effort between Villanova and Ursinus College. John joined the NCEMSF Board in 2006 as Alumni Coordinator.
