Michael S. Wiederhold, M.D., M.P.H., M.S.

Michael WiederholdMichael Wiederhold, NCEMSF Treasurer, is a pediatric resident at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a Doctor of Medicine. He received his Master of Public Health from Tulane University and his Master of Science in Emergency Health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University, majoring in psychology. In 1998 he was elected Director-at-Large of NCEMSF. The next year he was elected Secretary of NCEMSF where he served until 2002. Since 2001 he has served as Treasurer of NCEMSF.

Michael has been involved in collegiate EMS since 1996. While at Emory, Michael volunteered as a Nationally Registered EMT-Intermediate with Emory EMS. While at Emory he also served as Vice-President of CPR @ Emory, an organization designed to provide low-cost CPR training to the community. In addition to his collegiate EMS experience, he has worked as an EMT in the Emergency Department at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He has also worked at the Gwinnett County Department of Fire & Emergency Services as a Media and Education Specialist. He has also completed two tours of duty in the U.S. Public Health Service serving as an Injury Prevention Officer in the Indian Health Service and a Medical Readiness/Education Specialist in the Office of Emergency Preparedness.
