Collegiate EMS Week

This year's Collegiate EMS Week is November 9-15, 2009 (Monday through Sunday). E-mail us and let us know how your organization will celebrate! Press releases and links to online articles are especially useful, as they will be featured on the Local News section of this Web site.

This week-long recognition and celebration of our Collegiate EMS services in November has been developed using the National EMS Week (sponsored by Congress and the American College of Emergency Physicians) as a model; with your support, it should grow to be as visible and effective.

Included in our packet is a wide variety of information, all of which has been designed to help you inform your campus and surrounding communities about Collegiate EMS. This information is meant to be only a starting point, feel free to modify it and add your own information.

New this year is the designation of CPR Day, which will kick off EMS Week. The goal of CPR Day is to make as many college students as possible across North America aware of CPR on November 9, 2009.

The main packet is provided in Adobe Acrobat (950k PDF), and was posted on October 16, 2009. The CPR Day packet (1.5 MB - new for 2009) was posted on October 23, 2009. As of November 5, 2009, a CPR Day press release template is also available.
