Over the last several years, I have received several nice comments on this site.  It is always a pleasure to know that people enjoy the site enough to send a comment.  Though I lost all the notes received pre-2007 because of a computer crash, here are are some recent examples (with full names and places removed to protect the innocent):

Congratulations to you both for the new baby. I visit your site occasionally to read any new adventures and had a noticed a "lull" in your flying. A baby can certainly do that. She is beautiful.

You probably don't remember me, I wrote you once back in the spring. I am learning to fly finally at age 51 (life long dream). I did the ground school thru the summer and began flying in July. The going is slow. Due to work schedule I usually only get to fly once a week, and a few weeks I did not fly. I am now at 15.3 hours (28 takeoffs and landing). My instructor says I will solo in the next couple of weeks. I am absolutely loving every minute of it.

If you ever trek back through Georgia, let me know and I'll buy lunch. We have a nice little non-controlled airport with a few miles of home. (Should be a better experience than you had at Americus :-)

Thanks for the web site. When people ask me "Why", I send them to your site. It says it all.

My name is Jim. I am a student pilot with about 36 hrs of flight time. I heard of your website from my instructor. YOUR WEBSITE IS FANTASTIC!!!!!! I love looking at the pictures and reading your stories. I am almost done with my training. I passed the written. All that is left is, I still have to do my night flying, my second solo cross country, then my long cross country and then just practice mock check rides with my instructor. I can't wait to take my check ride even though I am scared as hell that I will do something stupid and fail. I hope some day, I too, will own my own plane. (Great story on how you bought your piper) I currently fly a Piper warrior and really love the Pipers. It seems like all I ever think about now is flying. I thank you so much for the great web site. It gives me a great deal of motivation. Keep up the great work

You have a great website.  I stumbled upon it in my quest to find a good used Warrior, bookmarked it and have been back several times.  You should be writing for Flying magazine.  Keep flying, keep taking pictures and keep writing.

I had Googled 1000 Lakes to catch some photographs of that area and came across your photos. I became so intrigued I browsed through your gallery, read your notes, and thoroughly enjoyed my journey with you. And what a precious family you have!! You have taken some astonishing photos. I have bookmarked your site, and I will definitely continue to check in occasionally for another exciting journey! Thanks for sharing these. I should get back to work now!!

Just wanted to send a quick note that I have thoroughly enjoyed your website. I came across it while perusing the Piper Owner’s Society website.  I have been involved in aviation for many years (I am a flight engineer in the Air Force) but have just recently “taken the leap” to getting my PPL. With any luck, I will take my checkride in a couple of weeks while at the controls of MY OWN ’73 Cherokee 140 (which is in the shop with a bad fuel sending unit…bummer). Anyway, you have a great site and it’s a great read!!!

Hello Chris,

Just wanted to let you know I completed my Private Pilot checkride today. Final complete - I am now a pilot.

Had a beautiful day for it, severe clear, little wind, it was awesome.

My DE was an older gentleman (late 70s), flies checkrides everyday, owns an FBO, restores WWII vintage aircraft. He flew a DC-3 with the Greenland Expedition Society to recover the P 38s trapped in the ice back in 1992. Quite an experience spending the morning with him.

Thanks again for your awesome web site, when I want to fly and can't, I spend a little time at your site. Always does the trick.

Terrific photos. Many thanks for reminding us of the many times we've been dazzled by what we see from above.

Keep posting those terrific pics.

FANTASTIC WEBSITE!!!!! I check in as much as I can. Your writing and photography is amazing! When I can't get to the airport, I read one of your stories to get my "FLYING FIX".

And the award for most entertaining comment goes to:

Hey! It’s been more than a month- have you been flying?
