Conference 2009 - CME
Posted April 14, 2009 by Joshua Marks, Secretary

Dear 2009 Conference Attendee,

The NCEMSF Conference CME Utility has been updated to include information from the latest conference in Washington, DC this past February. To print your personalized list of conference workshops attended to be submitted to your state's EMS regulatory agency follow the directions below:

1) Go to the NCEMSF Conference CME Utility at: http://www.ncemsf.org/about/confcme/
2) Enter your email address and NCEMSF password and select the conference year.
3) The NCEMSF server will generate and display a personalized Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file with the sessions you attended including lecture topic, speaker, duration and instructions for obtaining abstract and presenter biographies. The total number of credit hours earned appears at the bottom of the report.
4) We are aware that there may have been some problems with appropriately tracking lecture attendance. To add lectures to your CME report, press "Missing" to select the sessions you attended. If an incorrect lecture appears on your report, you may contact con-ed@ncemsf.org to have it removed. Once it is removed, you will be able to add the one you attended in its place using the "missing" function.

-This is on the honor system, and we expect that you will only request credit for sessions that you actually attended.
-You have until the following year's conference to add lectures to your CME report or have incorrect lectures removed. After one year no changes will be made to your CME report, however, reports from any conference year since 2002 may still be printed utilizing the online CME utility.
-After you have selected all the sessions that you attended, click "Continue."
5) Print out the PDF document, sign, and submit it along with any other necessary identifiers (address, certification number, date of birth etc.) to your state's EMS regulatory agency for credit BY ENDORSEMENT or to National Registry. Some states may require a copy of the conference program as well.

Please email CME specific questions or concerns to con-ed@ncemsf.org and we will do our best to assist you.

If you have not already done so, please also complete an evaluation form. Download a copy and mail it to the PO Box below. Many states require this added documentation to support your CME claims.

NCEMSF still wants your pictures from the conference. Upload your pictures to our flickr page ( http://www.flickr.com/groups/conf2009/ ) or Facebook group, or burn your photos to a CD and mail to NCEMSF. No matter how you submit your pictures include a caption for each picture (or on Facebook, you may leave it un-captioned for others to caption) and your full name so we can attribute the picture to you. Pictures will be archived and linked from the NCEMSF Web site.

Thank you again for making the 16th Annual NCEMSF Conference such a success. See you at the 17th Annual Conference February 26-28, 2010 - location to be announced shortly.
