EMS Planning for Mass Gatherings

There are many different types of mass gatherings that can occur on college campuses. Some are preplanned concerts and festivals. Some are not planned such as riots and protests. It is important for EMS to plan and train for both types of scenarios. This lecture will cover the basics of how to plan for both types of events and with what types of resources you should coordinate. We will also ask the question of when should EMS be required to be at an event? Who has the authority to answer that question? We will demonstrate a risk assessment tool used when reviewing a special event.
