SIREN: Schema In-Fill Rendered from Entry Notification

Entry notes are radio transmissions that first responders use to communicate patient information to a hospital while enroute to prepare hospital personnel prepare for ambulance arrival. These transmissions are summaries of critical data about a patient and could be used to draw insights about emergency care or train personnel. Ambulance services currently have no way to efficiently search and use saved entry note data. SIREN is an end-to-end tool that takes voice files of hospital entry notes as input and converts them into informative database tuples. Input are filtered to reduce background siren noise, converted to text using Google Cloud speech-to-text service, and analyzed with rule-based natural language processing supported by the Stanford NLP API. SIREN populates an SQLite database and exports an easy to read HTML page.
