Dr. Meghann Zapcic-Desrochers became involved in collegiate EMS as the Director of Operations of UMass EMS in Amherst, MA where she received a BS in Psychology in 2016. Meghann worked on a variety of agencies from municipal 911 to fire-based QRS as an EMT throughout her time as an undergraduate. In 2020, she completed medical school at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she worked with Temple EMS on multiple projects with an active shooter drill and as part of the bike response crew. Following medical school, she completed her Emergency Medicine residency education at UMass Baystate in 2023 and is now finishing her EMS fellowship at Brown University with plans to continue working as an EMS physician in the New England region.
