Pediatric CBRNE Disaster Preparedness and Response
The NIH has placed pediatric CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive) disaster response as a priority to both pre-hospital and in hospital providers. These are the worst responses we as EMS professional will have to encounter in our career. We will talk about how pediatric patients are different then adult patient during these events and how this vulnerable population requires a unique response. Is this something that we even need to worry about as responders? Are we prepared as a nation or as an EMS system? Are you prepared as an EMS responder?
