Rescue and Resuscitation of a Drowning Victim
Drowning takes the lives of an estimated 372,000 people each year, many of whom are children. Even more people suffer from the effects of non-fatal drownings. The good news is that all drownings are preventable. This presentation will look at drowning through an ocean lifeguard and public health perspective. Attendees will learn how improve the outcomes of drowning victims by understanding proven prevention, rescue and resuscitation techniques. TLDR; AHA recommends ABC over CAB for drowning victims. OXYGEN, OXYGEN, OXYGEN!
