2) Collegiate EMS Week 2024 and National Collegiate CPR Day - MONDAY, NOVEMBER 11
The 26th annual Collegiate EMS Week and CPR Day are just around the corner. Take advantage of this week-long opportunity, modeled after National EMS Week, to celebrate campus based EMS together with all other collegiate squads nationwide. National Collegiate CPR Day will kick off Collegiate EMS Week. The goal is to have as many college students as possible educated in the basic principles of CPR on a single day across all of North America. Begin planning now, and let NCEMSF know how you mark the week on your campus!
You can learn more about both of these exciting programs and gain access to resources to help you have a successful EMS Week and CPR Day by visiting the EMS Week and CPR Day pages on our website. Each page also links to an event-specific packet with additional information.
3) 32nd Annual NCEMSF Conference - FEBRUARY 21-23, 2025 - PITTSBURGH, PA
Save the date and begin planning now for our 32nd Annual NCEMSF Conference this February in Pittsburgh! Lodging (Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown) and registration prices are posted online and as always will be based on individual membership status and time of registration. NCEMSF Conference registration will open December 1.
Our online abstract/poster/speaker submission system is also now open. Prospective presenters must have a free NCEMSF website account to submit, and all abstracts must be submitted online at https://www.ncemsf.org/2025abstracts/openconf.php. Presentations will be accepted on a rolling basis starting late fall.
We will continue to update Conference-related information, so be sure to visit our Conference webpage and read your NCEMSF email for more details throughout the year.
4) Contact Information/NCEMSF Membership
Please update your online profile today with your corrected mailing address, email address, and telephone number. While online, please also renew your NCEMSF membership for the 2024-2025 academic year. Annual membership dues support ongoing NCEMSF activities and programs. Submitting your dues early affirms your ongoing support of campus-based EMS.
Squad leadership and advisors should also take time now to ensure your group's Institutional Database Profile is current. You can make any changes (or add any missing listings) by logging in with your Institutional Website Account. Please also submit your annual Institutional Dues. For questions or issues, please reach out to your Regional Coordinator.
5) Join the NCEMSF Team
NCEMSF is able to perform its mission through the hard work of a volunteer team of former Collegiate EMTs. Are you a recent graduate who wants to stay involved with EMS and help the next generation of Collegiate EMTs? We are currently looking for assistance with our Regional Coordinator Network across the country. Regional Coordinators serve as a link between NCEMSF and member institutions, assisting schools with questions and issues, promoting their schools' achievements, and ensuring schools are aware of and participate in NCEMSF programs. Ideal candidates will have experience with leadership or program management (like coordinating CPR classes) at their squad, the ability to check emails frequently and respond to issues promptly, and the ability to help in-person at our annual Conference each February. For more information and to apply, please visit our website.
NCEMSF is also seeking an Assistant Webmaster. Ideal candidates will be familiar with PHP/MySQL-based content management systems (CMS). For more information and to apply, please visit our website.
Have a safe and healthy fall semester!
