Dear ,
The 33rd Annual NCEMSF Conference is just over one week away, and plans are set for an outstanding educational weekend filled with networking opportunities!
THE END OF REGULAR REGISTRATION IS THIS FRIDAY! Join the over 1100 campus based EMS providers representing more than 100 schools who are already scheduled to attend. If you have not yet paid for the Conference, register and pay now before rates increase on Saturday.
ALREADY REGISTERED BUT HAVE NOT YET PAID? Please do so ASAP to avoid automatic cancellation and having to re-register and pay the increased rate. If you have indicated that you will be paying via university purchase order and have not yet submitted a signed copy of the PO, please do so as soon as possible and ensure that actual payment is received by us in full prior to the start of the Conference. Any payment mailed to NCEMSF must be received by February 18, otherwise it should be hand-delivered at check-in in Arlington.
PURCHASED TOKENS? To avoid significant delays at check-in, please have your delegates register for the Conference using your group's token code on the Registration Page to pay for their registration. Each token must be ultimately assigned to an individual attendee. Step-by-step directions for registering with a token code can be found in our FAQ. You can review who has used your token code by logging in under the Institutional Account that purchased the tokens and then viewing the Token Administration page under the Conference menu.
Conference fees and payment policies are detailed on the Conference website. Please review these policies carefully. REGULAR REGISTRATION ENDS FRIDAY!
CONFERENCE PROGRAM - A preliminary conference program is now available to help you plan your Conference weekend. Please note that some sessions have yet to be scheduled, and other changes may be made between now and the Conference. An official PDF program and mobile app will be available ahead of the actual Conference.
STRYKER SKILLS CLASSIC - Showcase your organization's medical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and teamwork in this exciting Friday night activity. Additional details and the pre-registration link can be found on our website. Payment ($15 via credit card until this Friday) must be made online prior to the event. Don't miss out on this cornerstone NCEMSF Conference experience -- we would love for each school attending to participate. If you have questions, or to volunteer as a patient or judge, please email skills@ncemsf.org. The pre-registration deadline is Friday, February 13. On-site registration and payment (at $20 per team) will be allowed only as space permits. For those wanting to learn more about the Skills Classic, please view the informational video.
PRE-CONFERENCE TOURS - FRIDAY AFTERNOON, FEBRUARY 20TH - Space still remains in our tours of the US Park Police Aviation Division and an Arlington County Fire Station, as well as the tour and class at the GW CLASS Simulation Center. We have also added a new tour opportunity to see the US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Operations Center (please read tour description carefully for information on the security vetting process and facility access). Separate registration is required for these exciting pre-conference activities, but all are available at no cost to registered Conference attendees. See more details and sign up online.
UPDATE TO LOCAL TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS - WMATA CONSTRUCTION - In mid-January, WMATA announced weekend construction impacting the Crystal City station, as well as service on the Blue and Yellow lines. Normal service is expected on Friday, February 20. However, on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22, area train service will be impacted. During this time period, the Crystal City station will be closed and Blue and Yellow line trains will not run between Pentagon City and National Airport (DCA) stations. For those who were planning to utilize METRO services during this time, please use one of the following alternate options. To travel into Washington, DC on Saturday or Sunday, board the Blue or Yellow lines at the Pentagon City station (just west of the DoubleTree). This includes anyone planning to travel to Dulles (IAD) airport--board the Blue Line at Pentagon City, then transfer to the Silver Line at Rosslyn. For those planning to travel to National Airport (DCA) or destinations south of Arlington, board a free shuttle bus at the Crystal City station; buses will serve National Airport (DCA) station, where you can then board a southbound Blue or Yellow line train if desired. Please be aware that the hotel also offers shuttle bus service to Washington National Airport (DCA) as described on the hotel website.
NOTE: This will be the last mass email to all NCEMSF contacts prior to the Conference. A separate email will be sent middle of next week to all registered attendees outlining key pre-arrival instructions.
Please email confinfo@ncemsf.org with any lingering questions regarding the Conference, lodging, or any logistical concerns. As a reminder, you should still check the hotel booking links on our website if you have not yet reserved a room, and should email us if you have any difficulty securing an affordable room at the host facility or our overflow block.
See you in Arlington!
