Zach Matuzsan, NCEMSF Mid-Atlantic Regional Coordinator, began his EMS career in 2007 as a volunteer EMT with the East Windsor Rescue Squad District II in New Jersey. In 2008, as a freshman at Johns Hopkins University, he joined the Hopkins Emergency Response Organization. Zach served as the Equipment Lieutenant in 2010 and as the Operations Lieutenant in 2011. He graduated with a degree in Public Health Studies in 2012 and subsequently earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) in May of 2016 from Rowan University's School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly UMDNJ-SOM) in Stratford, New Jersey. He is currently a chief emergency medicine resident at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA and will be starting an EMS fellowship at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ in July 2020.
