The University paid for the 100-thousand dollar vehicle and Harpur's Ferry will be paying the University back over the next 5 years. Ambulance workers say the new vehicle will allow them to respond to more than one call at a time AND they'll be able to be on standby at athletic events.

Harpur's Ferry Director Brandon Leonard says, "Harpur's Ferry needs to expand wth the university and many times we get simultaneous calls and we're only able to cover one, so with the addition of a 2nd ambulance we'll be able to cover these calls and the students who give us our budget."

The group also purchased a life pack. That will enable them to get heart readings from patients before they arrive at the hospital.
