Zachary Gant, NCEMSF Assistant Startup Coordinator, became a volunteer firefighter while in high school. He attended Western Carolina University and completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Emergency Medical Care with a concentration in EMS management. While at WCU, Zachary was active in WCU EMS, holding numerous leadership positions, including EMS Chief. After graduation, Zachary joined Orange County Emergency Services where he continues to work full-time as a paramedic. Additional involvement in EMS has included volunteering and leadership with South Orange Rescue Squad, teaching EMS courses at the high school and collegiate level, and most recently completing his critical care certification.
