Tom Renner, NCEMSF West Regional Coordinator, started his EMS career as an Ocean Lifeguard in Laguna Beach, CA. He later began his collegiate EMS career during his freshman year in 2012 at Johns Hopkins University on the Hopkins Emergency Response Organization (HERO). While on HERO, Tom served as the Equipment Lieutenant and later as the Operations Lieutenant while majoring in public health studies. Tom attends the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences' F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine where he is an ensign in the United States Navy. Tom is also a member of the International Surf Lifesaving Association (ISLA) and has lifeguarded around the world.
