NCEMSF Discord
What is Discord?
Discord is a social networking platform that allows for communication within groups. Discord, like Slack or Microsoft Teams, allows users to communicate via text through a variety of individual groups, called "channels." Users can post text, images, and links. The use of channels helps group conversations by topic.
The Discord app is available for Android and Apple devices, and can also be accessed directly via their website.
Why Join?
The NCEMSF Discord server is where collegiate EMS providers connect, learn, and grow together—not just during our annual conference, but every day of the year. Whether you're troubleshooting a protocol question at 2 AM, celebrating your first successful IV, or coordinating a regional meetup, this is your community.
- Connect with Peers Nationwide
Meet collegiate EMS providers from over 250+ agencies across the U.S. and Canada. Network with students facing the same challenges, share solutions, and build lasting professional relationships. - Learn from Real-World Experience
Discuss challenging calls, compare protocols, share case studies (de-identified, of course), and learn from providers at every certification level—from EMR to Paramedic. - Regional Support
Join your region's dedicated channel to connect with nearby agencies, coordinate meetups, discuss local regulations, and share opportunities specific to your area. - Stay in the Loop
Get real-time updates about NCEMSF programs, conference announcements, and opportunities. During conference weekend, Discord becomes your hub for schedule changes, session discussions, and meetup coordination. - Get Leadership Support
Access NCEMSF leadership, regional coordinators, and experienced agency advisors. Whether you're starting a new squad or managing operational challenges, help is just a message away. - Year-Round Engagement
NCEMSF isn't just a February conference—it's a movement. Discord keeps the energy alive with weekly discussions, case studies, leadership roundtables, and community events throughout the year.
How Do I Join the NCEMSF Discord?
To join, please scan the QR code you were provided during Conference check-in or use the link in one of our email newsletters. Alternatively, log in with your NCEMSF website account (personal or institutional) to view the code and link.
Once you join, you will automatically be added to the General channel. You will also be asked to select your region so you can join the channel specifically for members and squads from your area. From there, please read our pinned post with rules. That post also contains information on other site features. If you are a squad advisor, please reach out to us at discord@ncemsf.org to be added to our specific Advisors channel.
