Sophia Dhrolia, the NCEMSF Southeast Assistant Regional Coordinator, started in EMS at the Milltown Rescue Squad in 2019 before joining the founding group of UNC EMS at UNC-Chapel Hill where she graduated in 2024 with her B.S. in Biology and B.A. in Music. While serving as Assistant Chief and Chief, UNC EMS achieved the NCEMSF Striving for Excellence and HeartSafe accolades. After graduation, Sophie continued working as a paramedic in Chatham County, North Carolina and as an elementary school music teacher.
