1999 Conference
Syracuse University
General Information
Syracuse University
Located in the geographic center of New York State, Syracuse University is a major student centered undergraduate and graduate research institution serving the educational needs of more than 18,000 students. Syracuse University is the home of the Carrier Dome, the largest on-campus sporting facility in America. EMS response to the University community is provided by the volunteers of Syracuse University Ambulance, now enjoying it’s silver anniversary of 25 years of service.
NCEMSF Conference
The conference provides an opportunity for member institutions to gather and learn about collegiate EMS, fraternize with personnel from other institutional programs, and share information. Hosted in a different geographic area each year, the annual conference highlights the accomplishments of member institutions and develops strategic plans for tackling common and uncommon problems.
Planning
The 1999 Conference Program Committee has worked diligently to bring to the conference lecture series the types of issues member institutions can use in individual departments. Drawing on the extensive health care resources in the Syracuse metropolitan area and the relationships created between SU’s Ambulance Service and other emergency services partners, attendees will enjoy a range of programs delivered by experienced speakers.
Program Highlights
- Eight lecture sessions by a variety of speakers;
- Tours of emergency services departments on the SU campus;
- Poster sessions for member institutions
- Four lecture sessions exclusively for NCEMSF member institutions
